I worked for Western Placer School District in Lincoln California as a Para Pro for a Language Intensive Program. We had up to 10 special needs students with varying disabilities ranging from autism to high cognitive needs. Before acquiring this position I worked for the Oregon school system full time in Milton Freewater as a Para. This program is called BESST (Behavior Education Social Skills Training) there are up to 10 students from grades 1-5 in this program. In addition I have had the opportunity to work with learning disabled youth and adults and acted as in Interpreter (ASL) and Para for a male youth correctional JRA facility. Most of my work has been with Speical Needs students mostly Autism.
